NSMU – Novosibirsk State Medical University, which trains not only highly qualified doctors, but also pharmaceutical specialists, clinical psychologists, and social workers. Every year this university performs extensive work and graduates a large number of specialists who are ready to work for the benefit of the health care system. About 5500 students study at the university, half of them study on the budget basis. 24% of the students of NSMU were enrolled by the target referral.
There are many different faculties at the university. “Clinical Medicine” has about 81.59% of students, “Psychological Sciences” has 6.3% of students, “Pharmacy” has 3.59% of students. There is also a direction called “Health Science and Preventive Medicine”, here the number of students is close to 3.16%. The other streams are “Fundamental Medicine” – 2.77%, “Economics and Management” – 0.9%, “Sociology and Social Work” – 0.74%, and “Nursing” – 0.58%.
It is also worth noting that the university provides its students with the rooms in the dormitory.
The university includes 79 departments, about 70 clinical bases, which are located in the main medical institutions of Novosibirsk.
